Maui Beaches and Trails (“MB&T”) organizes and leads 10-day hiking and beach tours of the island Maui in Hawaii. We are the latest incarnation of the company “Climb Ecuador” (www.climbecuador.com) which for over a decade has organized and led mountaineering trips to Ecuador, Bolivia, Peru, Mexico and Argentina. Our 10-day/9-night itinerary includes four separate hikes, swimming, snorkeling, sunning, whale watching, exploration of 10 different beaches, a 5-star luau, Maui nightlife, circumnavigation of the entire island in a private van, many photography opportunities, and much more. Trip members enjoy 9 nights, single or double occupancy, in hotels and private luxury condos. Tour leader is on duty 24/7. See our detailed itinerary for more information.
The Hawaiian island chain is comprised of hundreds of islands spread over 1,500 miles. At the southern end of the Hawaiian archipelago are the eight “main” islands of Niihau, Kauai (the “Garden Isle”), Oahu (the “Gathering Place”), Molokai, Lanai (the “Pineapple Island”), Kahoolawe, Maui (the “Valley Isle” or the “Magic Isle”) and Hawaii (the “Big Island”). About 7 million tourists visit the islands of Hawaii each year—and for good reason—these islands boast some of the best beaches and most beautiful tropical scenery in the world.
Maui is the second largest island in the chain, with 120 miles of shoreline, 42 miles of world-class beaches and many stunning hiking opportunities. In 2010, Maui ranked as the Top Island in the world for the 16th consecutive time on Conde Nast Traveler readers’ poll. In addition, Maui also rated as the Top Island in the Pacific for the 20th consecutive year! To round out these impressive honors, Maui scored the most points to rate as the world’s Top Overall Destination! Among Hawaiians and tourists alike, Maui, quite simply, is the BEST! This is where MB&T’s story begins . . .
